The Oldbury Viaduct Major Renewal Scheme was a landmark £100m+ infrastructure project and the largest concrete repair scheme ever undertaken in the UK by value. Located between M5 Junctions 1 and 2, the 1.8-mile viaduct carries up to 120,000 vehicles daily through one of the country’s busiest motorway interchanges.

Appointed as concrete repair contractor, Concrete Repairs Limited (CRL) delivered extensive deck repairs, hydro-demolition, reinforcement replacement, and installation of sacrificial anodes, while maintaining traffic flow throughout. The scheme significantly extended the viaduct’s service life, supporting a safer, more resilient motorway network.
