Maintaining our Heritage for Future Generations

The maintenance of Listed Buildings and Structures requires skilled management and trades to ensure the work is undertaken in a sympathetic manner, in accordance with the Principles of Conservation. Often these buildings are complex and unique, with a variety of specific challenges which need to be addressed during the refurbishment process.

CRL Restoration specialise in the survey and concrete repairs to historic, period, and modern buildings and structures, as well as the design and installation of cathodic protection systems to steel framed buildings, either as the Principal Contractor, or as a specialist sub-contractor.

Conservation and Restoration work can often be more difficult than new construction. The unique challenges associated with working in and around office blocks, churches, schools and other premises (often occupied), calls for a fresh and innovative approach from an experienced specialist company. Our aim within CRL Restoration is to restore our Clients’ and the Nations’ heritage utilising the combined experience of our directly employed Managers and skilled operatives and our reliable supply chain. Our policy is to employ “the best people possible” for the project. To achieve this, where required we work with a select team of specialist contractors such as lead workers, guilders, roofers and fibrous plasterers to help us deliver our projects.

As part of the concrete repair and cathodic protection works, we can also undertake the following services;

CRL Restoration offer a one stop shop for all the requirements in caring for heritage concrete buildings and structures. We work closely with our clients to help identify the nature and extent of any deterioration in the fabric of the building using our survey company, CRL Surveys Ltd (UKAS Accredited), and Structural Engineers, Samueley. Once the nature and extent of any deterioration has been established, we can produce fully documented reports identifying any existing problems and offer assessments and recommendations on the best way to go about the works. CRL Restoration utilise in-house teams to undertake the works in accordance with the specification and recommendations. We are committed to working collaboratively with all the parties involved to value engineer the works and recommend the right solutions to make sure that the Clients expectations are met and the final works are as anticipated.
