Originally designed by Wallis Gilbert & Partners, Wallis House is a very prominent, iconic art deco Grade II listed building set alongside the elevated section of the A4/M4 on the way to Heathrow Airport from Central London.

CRL, as Specialist Contractor, was employed on the Barratt Homes project to assist them in the sensitive restoration and conversion of the disused office tower block to luxury apartments.

Due to its Grade II listing, CRL played an important role with our client English Heritage and the 20th Century Society in the design process of this listed building restoration project through the development and installation of a cathodic protection system in a way that was sympathetic to the structure.

Scope of works:

    • facade masonry cleaning
    • installation of remote controlled Impressed Current Cathodic Protection system
    • stonework rebuilding, restoration & replacement
