Social Value & Sustainability Co-Ordinator - The Role
You will enhance our social value and sustainability contribution, build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted adviser to our site and senior management Teams. This role can be based in either our Chesterfield, Mitcham or Bristol Regions and would require travelling.
Key Responsibilities:

- Travelling to and engaging with all the regional offices.
- Researching UK, Scottish and Local Government Policy on Social Value in the award of Contracts.
- Working with senior management to develop Social Value Policy, goals, and objectives.
- Create and maintain a Social Impact Tool and KPIs that ensure we're on track and making a difference.
- Researching the needs of local stakeholders and communities on individual projects identified by senior management.
- Support our site teams in implementing Social Value policies and procedures.
- Forge partnerships with local stakeholders and site teams to deliver on Social Value objectives.
- Collate data and evidence from the site teams and assist with the production of reports.
- Collaborate with H&S advisors, Compliance Managers, and our marketing and business development department.
- Co-ordinate with regional teams on the delivery of community projects and arranging school visits.
- Driving the Company’s Sustainability agenda and working with Senior Management to set carbon reduction targets. Producing quarterly reports on carbon footprint, liaising with site teams to reduce waste.
- Assist in answering questions on Social value Pre-qualification questionnaires and Quality submissions.
- Assist the Commercial teams to honour contractual commitments and obligations by engaging local suppliers and SME’s.
- Maintain Company Social Value budget.
- Liaise with marketing and business development department, developing and maintaining the social value. section of the Company website and producing articles for newsletters.
- Produce a Social Value & Sustainability quarterly report for the Management Meeting.
- Identify awards and opportunities for recognition and promotion of the company.
What we need from you:

- Proficient in operating modern office equipment and Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Publisher.
- Familiar with the effective use of various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Knowledgeable about Policy Procurement Notice 06/20 and the Social Value Model.
- Acquainted with other pertinent Policy Procurement Notices, such as 06/21 (Incorporating Carbon Reduction Plans into government contract procurement).
- Familiar with PAS 2080.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, task prioritisation and meeting deadlines.
- Presentation and public speaking skills.
- Some experience in a similar role desirable.
